Universal Waste
Some hazardous wastes are so common the state and federal
environmental rules call them “Universal Waste.” The good
news is that most of these wastes are easily recycled. But,
in cases where recycling is not a viable option, the
Universal Waste Rules ease certain regulatory requirements
which help expedite the disposal process and eliminate added
expense.
E2 is a Large Quantity Handler of Universal Waste
(LQHUW) and an approved Universal Waste Destination
Facility. This means that E2 customers can rest
assured all of there Universal Waste needs are managed by

pesticides, thermostats (because of the mercury),

paint-related wastes.
* Remember:
Although common, Universal Waste is still a hazardous
waste and by law must be sent to waste facilities
permitted or approved by the TCEQ or the EPA. Universal
Waste may not be disposed of in the garbage.
