liabilities.

Landfills: Waste
types accepted for treatment and disposal at subtitle “C”
landfills: Solid, semi-solid, and liquid hazardous waste,
excluding confined gases, explosives, radioactive materials,
biological warfare agents, infectious wastes and
concentrated oxidizing or reducing agents.

Methods:
Asbestos
Disposal: Facilities for the
permanent disposal of asbestos and asbestos-containing products.
Incineration:
Hazardous wastes are taken to these special facilities to be
burned. All hazardous constituents are destroyed or removed in
this process. The remaining ash is then deposited in a hazardous
waste facility.
Landfill
Technologies:

Landfills: Providing permanent
disposal of non-hazardous municipal, commercial, and industrial
solid waste. These types of landfills accept food waste, paper
products, cardboard, plastics; scrap metal, rock crushing,
liquid waste, composting, bioremediation, non-hazardous sludge,
and all other non-hazardous materials.
C&D Landfills:
Facilities for the disposal of cured concrete, asphalt,
sheet-rock, roofing materials, nails, bricks, carpet, glass,
dirt, wood products, and other non-food-related refuse
associated with construction and demolition activities.
Inert Landfills:
Sites for the permanent disposal of earth and earth-like
products including concrete, asphalt, trees, and leaves.
