Disaster Relief
At E2 our goal in disaster management is to be there for our clients before (during planning stages and mock training events), during (we ride the storm out with emergency personnel and move swiftly to assess and mitigate damage even as the event unfolds) and after (over 1 year after Ike plowed through Galveston Island – E2 is still engaged in the effort to restore the island). Our commitment to this cause never sleeps!

Throughout several storms including floods, hurricanes and tornados E2 has been there to help the people and organizations affected by these devastating events. We respond swiftly with supplies, personnel, equipment and expertise to get clean-up efforts underway and lend a hand toward helping communities swiftly get on track for a fresh start.

We have earned our stripes by consistently providing fast and safe recovery of HHW, asbestos and industrial wastes of all types. Once recovered, our highly trained personnel sort and prepare these unwanted, dangerous materials for safe transit to recycling and disposal operations where the material can be safely destroyed, managed or recycled into useful product.

All of this is accomplished with two regulatory goals in mind.
  • Proper handling and documentation – waste generated from accidents, spills, and emergency situations is often unstable and life threatening. Proper handling, management and documentation save lives. It also proves to authorities that a first rate effort was performed on every level.
  • Re-imbursement – very often FEMA, State government, Insurance and other sources of financial assistance present opportunities to lessen the financial burden of dealing with emergency and disaster situations. To date, with over $20,000,000 in claims; we have never had a reimbursement application denied. The quality of our work is always professional and superior.

Residents often maintain chemicals for the maintenance of their homes that present a potential threat to human health and the environment. In the event of a disaster those chemicals could be compromised and present an imminent threat to the health of citizens and the environment. To mitigate the risk E2 collects those materials and manages them in an environmentally responsible manner. All services are preformed in a manner consistent with all applicable environmental laws. Technical crews remove those materials and characterize, package, transport everything for proper disposal. In addition to the management of material a complete record of all activities and material management is maintained.

Typical materials handled during an event include:
This list is only intended to give a general scope of the acceptable materials.

We provide everything we need from a-z including labor, equipment and materials, supplies, equipment maintenance, trucks, forklifts, yellow iron, repairs, repair parts, fuel, lubricants, cellular phones, transportation, traffic control and housing if required, necessary to accomplish the project.

When Nature Strikes

When hurricanes and tropical storms make landfall, there is an amazing amount of debris, trash and hazardous waste to be disposed of.

E2 did not have to travel far to start work after Hurricane Ike. Effective Environmental has collected and disposed of OVER 2.2 million pounds of hazardous waste and has recycled WELL OVER 30 million pounds of material from activities associated with the Galveston clean up...

When hurricane Ike hit Galveston, we were on site in hours not days. Effective Environmental has collected and disposed of OVER 2,200,000 pounds of hazardous waste from hurricane Ike. And has recycled WELL OVER 30,000,000 pounds of material from activities associated with the Galveston clean up.

At this time we continue removing material from Galveston Island on a weekly basis.
  • Hurricane
  • Flood
  • Fire
  • Industrial emergency
